Johnson College Prep teacher and baseball coach, Laura McKelvey appeared on Windy City Live during a segment that highlighted females coaches in male dominated sports.

“I played softball my whole life. I played on the club team at Ohio State,I’ve played forever. So, when I started teaching I thought so maybe I’d coach the softball team. So when I approached the softball coach about it she said ‘yes you could absolutely coach me, the baseball job is open as well.’ When the athletic director asked who would like to coach the baseball team I said yes I can do that.”
