Congratulations! You have a job interview scheduled. Now it’s the time to prepare, but where to start? Preparing for an interview takes more than running a Google search for “commonly asked interview questions.”

Interviewing for a job can be a very stressful process – if you don’t prepare. To help you get ready, we’ve put together some of our favorite insider tips to ensure you’re most prepared for your interview.

1. Do some research

Using the company’s website, social media posts, and recent press releases will provide a solid understanding of the company’s goals/values/mission statement, and how your background makes you a great fit. Check out Noble’s social media at @BeNobleSchools or any campus social media at @BeNoble{insert any campus}.

2. Be prepared with examples of your work

During the interview, you will likely be asked about specific work you’ve completed in relation to the position. After reviewing the job description, think of work you’ve done in past jobs that show your experience and successes doing the work the job requires.

3. Be authentic and positive

At Noble, we believe in everyone being their true self and sharing their personal story. Being genuine during interview conversations can help employers easily relate to you. Check out our core values here.

4. Ask about next steps

It is appropriate to ask either your interviewer or recruiter about next steps. Asking about next steps will likely lead to an email providing interview results or explaining additional requirements such as: completing a performance task, scheduling another round of interviews, or requesting your references.
