Albert Cox

UIC College Prep

About – Albert Cox

Albert Cox is a Southside native and Noble Alum (UICCP 2014). After graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in Global History and Secondary education, Albert found his way back home to UICCP as an 11th grade US History teacher and advisor. Albert’s educational pedagogy is highly influenced by his dedication to posterity. Albert has been making strides in creating a truly student centered, co-created, and relevant curriculum for his 11th grade US History students and BSU enrichment. Albert fully believes in the transformational power of education. This belief pushes him to continuously refine his own practices and mindsets when it comes to what a “good” educator looks like. Albert knows all too well how easily the positive power of education can be turned into a force of darkness and oppression. He is dedicated to continuously making revolutionary moves in shaping his curriculum, pedagogy, and mindset.
