About – Katherine Huete Galeano
Her name is Katherine and She was born and raised in Estelí, Nicaragua. She came to the US at a very young age, Spanish is her first language and She can speak a little bit of French. She grew up in Madison, WI where She attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Go Badgers! In 2015 moved to Chicago where She earned her Master's in Special Education from Dominican University and am currently in school to obtain a second master's in Dual Language Teacher Leadership. This will be her 8th year as a teacher. She is passionate about Bilingual Education and supporting all students. Her favorite book is A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. She love listening to reggaeton, hip-hop, banda, rancheras, merengue and anything with a tropical beat.
