About – Leah Kohl
Her hometown is Hopkinton, Massachusetts. She went to college in New Orleans, and spent one year abroad in Madrid during that time. She studied Spanish, Psychology, and Early Childhood Education. After college, she had a few jobs in childcare, education, and mental health. Her path has shown her that She’s drawn to jobs that help to holistically support others, and She think her job as a paraprofessional at UICCP fits her well. She is also a trained birth doula, which supports birthing people and their partners before and during labor. One of her favorite things in the world is backpacking, and almost all of her vacations include hiking and camping. She spends as much time as possible in the woods. One of her favorite trips ever was a 4-day rafting trip on the Colorado River on the Colorado/Utah border. She is really excited about SY22-23 because we learned so much as a school community last year and She’s looking forward to seeing how we continue to grow and improve.
