Miguel Rivera is of Puerto Rican descent, born and raised in Chicago, IL. He attended Chicago Public Schools from 4th-12th grades, graduating from Northside College Prep. After graduating with a BA in Biblical Studies from Washington Bible College, Miguel began his teaching career in his hometown, where he also began his coaching career. Miguel has worked in education for 13 years, holding teaching, counseling, and administrative positions throughout. He has a passion for seeing Latino and African-American students get the opportunity, access, and encouragement they deserve to pursue their dreams in education and beyond. He believes that working at Noble aligns with his own personal beliefs about what education in the city should look like, and is excited to continue his growth as an educational leader. Miguel has been married to his beautiful wife, Katie, for 9 years, and they have two children: Eva Luz, 6, and Cruz Miguel, 4. And finally, he is a HUGE White Sox fan!
