Meet Our Principal
Principal, UIC College Prep
Audrey Borling is entering her 11th year at UIC College Prep. She served as assistant principal for the past seven years, during which time she oversaw academics and instruction, helping UIC College Prep become one of the highest performing open-enrollment high schools in Chicago.
As a UIC College Prep founding staff member, Audrey spent her first four years teaching 9th through 12th grade science. One of her proudest moments at UIC College Prep was graduating an advisory as part of the school’s first-ever graduating class in 2012. Previously, Audrey taught 7th grade math, reading and science at CICS Prairie school in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood, and she also spent two years as a national recruitment director for Teach For America in the Northeast and Midwest regions.
She is a 2004 graduate of Indiana University where she majored in biology and minored in chemistry. Audrey competed for the Hoosiers NCAA Division I track and cross country teams, where she was an athletic and academic All American and a Big Ten champion in 2003. She has a Master’s in Teaching from Dominican University.
Audrey is married and is mom to three boys. She still runs for fun and is passionate about helping others learn and achieve their personal goals.
