We are committed to building a pipeline of strong educators and, accordingly, have invested in a partnership with Relay Graduate School of Education. Specifically, we offer two programs at Noble: the Noble-Relay Teaching Residency and the Special Education Master’s Program. See below to learn more.

Teaching Residency

The Noble-Relay Teaching Residency is for individuals who want to enter the teaching profession, and are looking for the support, training, and feedback required in becoming a highly effective teacher. Our teaching residents join a selective cohort of diverse and talented future teachers committed to educational justice.

    • Year 2: Lead Teacher
      Salary: $55,000
$4,500 tuition out of pocket cost
  • A gradual on-ramp into the teaching profession with a high level of support at both the campus level (through your Resident Advisor) and through your professors at Relay
  • Graduate in 2 years with your Master of Arts in Education and an Illinois teaching license
  • Licenses available in Special Education, Secondary Math, Biology, and Chemistry

Special Education Master’s Program

At Noble, 18% of our student body (2000+ students) has an individualized education plan (IEP), and we are proud that 71% of our students with IEPs matriculate to either two or four-year colleges and universities. However, across the country and in Chicago, there is an urgent need for special educators. To help address this need and encourage people who are passionate about serving diverse learners, Noble provides a two-year Master’s program where employees teach full-time while simultaneously attending graduate school at a subsidized cost.

  1. 75% of tuition covered by Noble
  2.  Salary and benefits that is aligned to our network-wide compensation model
  3. Full reimbursement of testing costs
  4. Earn your Master of Arts in Teaching
  5. Earn your Professional Educators License and LBSI endorsement from the Illinois State Board of Education

It is very unique to be part of a teaching residency program that has such a close alignment to the school we work in. It is thanks to this alignment that we are able to immediately implement what we learn in our Relay class with our students.”
