About – Robert “RC” Hyatt

R.C. Hyatt was born and raised in Florida, where he graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BA in History and Minor in Latin American Studies. He began his teaching career in Charlotte, North Carolina teaching high school Algebra 1 and Foundations of Algebra before moving to a middle school and teaching 8th Grade Mathematics and Social Studies. After moving to Chicago, he taught for 5 years in Englewood gaining experience teaching 6th and 8th Grade Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Spanish elective, and Literacy Intervention. He joined Mansueto High School in 2019, and taught IB History, AP Comparative Government and Politics, and AP US History. He currently serves as the Dean of Instruction of History, and has led various teams in the work of implementing standards-based grading and its best practices across the school and Noble network.
