Dear Noble Community,
As we move deeper into May, I’m reminded of how special this time of year is, filled with celebrations and moments that highlight the heart of who we are at Noble.
This week, I had the joy of attending a student concert at Johnson College Prep. The talent, passion, and creativity our students displayed was nothing short of extraordinary, and I left feeling so inspired. It was a beautiful reminder of how the arts give our students space to express themselves, build confidence, and shine. I want to thank the teachers and staff who make these performances possible, your support allows our students to display their brilliance.
I also want to celebrate the students from Baker College Prep and DRW College Prep who have been participating in Together Towards Peace, a transformative five-month journey focused on addressing gun violence in our communities. Since February, our students, along with other high school students across Chicago and Highland Park, have shared stories, researched policy solutions, created art together, and built bridges across communities impacted by a shared challenge. This type of student leadership and activism is exactly what Chicago needs, and we are so proud of our students’ commitment to making a real difference.
As we continue with college signing celebrations, prom season and end-of-year celebrations coming up, let’s continue to celebrate the brilliance in our community.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Much Love,
Brenda

UIC FLAMES DAY 2025
This event was all about helping students picture themselves as college students and discover the amazing opportunities waiting for them at UIC. 📚
It was especially meaningful for our seniors heading to UIC—giving them a chance to explore key campus resources and start building connections that will make their transition to college life smoother. In fact, research shows that attending events like Flames Day is linked to fewer academic challenges in that crucial first semester, setting students up for long-term success.
One of the highlights of the day was a lively alumni panel. Former Noble students shared their stories, offered thoughtful advice, and encouraged the Class of 2024 as they get ready for this next big chapter. The panel featured:
-
Soraiya Concepcion (Golder ’23)
-
Tania Garcia (Noble Street ’22)
-
Daniel Martinez (Speer ’21)
-
Yarelis Rocha (Rauner ’23)
-
Ruby Ramirez (Bulls ’24)
-
Lillian Trujillo (Speer ’22)
We are grateful to our partners at UIC and our incredible Noble alumni for inspiring and empowering the next generation of college leaders.

GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL AT MUCHIN COLLEGE PREP
Girls flag football is the fastest-growing sport in Illinois, and Muchin College Prep was proud to be one of the first IHSA-sanctioned teams in the state!
Led by Athletic Director Trinica Wells and Culture Specialist Nick Davis, the team was built on student advocacy, family support, and a deep love for the game.
Players like Laila Townsend and Jauccaria Solomon stepped up as leaders on and off the field, and their teammates are already excited for next season.
💬 “We’ll come back even stronger next year.” – Coach Wells
