Dear Noble Family,

As of today, 97% of our seniors have finalized their college decisions, with 71% planning to attend a four-year college and 15% planning to attend a two-year college this fall. This year has once again been extraordinary, marked by outstanding college acceptances, substantial scholarship awards, and strong financial aid packages. We are incredibly proud of our seniors and all they have accomplished.

This application season, our 2,529 seniors submitted over 24,500 college applications to institutions nationwide—an average of 9.7 applications per student. Their dedication paid off: Students received 16,452 acceptances, including 15,177 to four-year colleges. On average, each student received 6.5 acceptances.

We proudly celebrate our scholars who secured highly selective opportunities:

• 13 Posse Scholars

• 14 QuestBridge Scholars 

• 20 Early Decision Admits

These students—and many others—are heading to some of the country’s most prestigious institutions, including Stanford, Tufts, Notre Dame, Northwestern, the University of Chicago, the University of Pennsylvania, and Washington University in St. Louis. They do so with major scholarships and critical wraparound supports. Additionally, 31 of our seniors will be attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) this fall—an exciting milestone! Notably, five students will enroll at Jackson State University and another five at Southern University and A&M College.

Collectively, our seniors have earned over $643 million in scholarships—a powerful testament to their talent, determination, and promise. This year, we were thrilled to award our first-ever Annexstad Scholarship to a Golder College Prep student who will attend the University of Michigan. We also proudly awarded our annual Osborn Scholarship—generously funded by Northern Trust—to four students who will be attending Emory University, Pomona College, Howard University, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additional notable scholarships awarded this year include: one Golden Apple Scholarship, three Gates Scholarships, two Jack Kent Cooke Scholarships, and six Wentcher Scholarships. 

At Noble, we believe a strong college decision lays the foundation for long-term success, opening the door to meaningful careers and a life filled with choices.

Even after they graduate, our commitment to Noble alumni remains strong. Campus college counseling teams—including both high school and alumni support staff—are actively guiding students through the Handoff Process, providing critical summer support to ensure a strong start this fall.

In this historic moment, it is vital to recognize the extraordinary achievements of our seniors. Their success reflects their resilience and the collective effort of our entire Noble community.

In Noble’s latest blog post, Ms. Nikki Desgrosellier, Dean of College at UIC College Prep, highlights the growing challenges students face—particularly amid the rollback of DEI initiatives in higher education. She underscores how the push for college access is more urgent than ever. Her reflections affirm the importance of Noble’s College Counseling Framework and Theory of Change, and spotlight our continued commitment to supporting students well beyond high school graduation.

As an organization, we are proud to guide the next generation of leaders working to create a more just and equitable society. Our students not only deserve access to higher education—they are ready to lead.

One shining example is Alasia Perkins, a senior from Baker College Prep and one of four recipients of the prestigious Osborn Scholarship. This fall, Alasia will attend Howard University, one of the nation’s most selective HBCUs. Reflecting on what it means to be the first in her family to graduate from a four-year university, Alasia shared:

“In my community, where opportunities can sometimes feel unreachable, my success will be a message of hope. I want others to see that their circumstances do not define who they can become in the future.”

Alasia’s story—and those of so many of her peers—serve as powerful reminders of what’s possible. They are beacons of hope for youth across Chicago who dream of opportunity, impact, and multigenerational change.

A día de hoy, el 97% de nuestros alumnos de último año han tomado una decisión definitiva sobre su futuro universitario, y el 71% tiene previsto asistir a una universidad de cuatro años, mientras que el 15% asistirá a una universidad de dos años este otoño. Este año ha vuelto a ser extraordinario, marcado por excelentes admisiones universitarias, importantes becas y sólidos paquetes de ayuda financiera. Estamos increíblemente orgullosos de nuestros alumnos de último año y de todo lo que han logrado.

En esta temporada de solicitudes, nuestros 2,529 alumnos de último año presentaron más de 24,500 solicitudes universitarias a instituciones de todo el país, con un promedio de 9.7 solicitudes por estudiante.
