Dear Noble Community,

I’m still in awe of the incredible Noble25 Gala last week. What an unforgettable night! Thank you for making it special as we celebrated 25 years of impact with our friends and supporters,  honoring parents, alumni, and college partners, all while dancing the night away. Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, we raised over $130,000 for the Last Dollar Scholarship Fund, a scholarship unique to Noble that was created to cover the “last dollar” of expenses our alumni incur to maintain their enrollment and success in college. Since its inception, Noble has awarded over  $1.3 million in scholarships to more than 2,500 Noble alumni. The money we raised at the Gala ensures we can continue to sponsor and uplift our alumni again this year.

Next week, the celebration continues with one of the most meaningful moments of the year, Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s our chance to honor the heart and soul of our school communities: our teachers.

Long before I became CEO, I started as a US Empowered teacher and advisor, and that experience continues to shape me as a leader. I know firsthand the love, resilience, creativity, and commitment it takes to show up for students each and every day. The work of our Noble teachers changes lives, and I’m incredibly grateful for all they do.

Throughout the week, we’ll be showering our teachers with gratitude. Follow along with us on social media as we share shoutouts for our teachers from our community. If you see a teacher next week, please take a moment to thank them. To every Noble teacher, thank you for helping our students reach their highest dreams and aspirations. We appreciate you.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Much Love,

Brenda

 NOBLE 25 GALA

Last Friday, the Noble community came together to mark a truly special milestone — 25 years of transforming lives through education. Our anniversary gala at the Field Museum was nothing short of magical ✨, bringing together the past, present, and future of Noble in one unforgettable evening.

From Brenda’s powerful opening remarks to Dr. Janice Jackson’s inspiring keynote, the night was filled with moments that reminded us why this work matters. We also had the honor of celebrating some incredible champions who have shaped Noble’s journey:

🏅 Francisco HuertaLegacy Award

🏅 Lucy & William ReesePromise Award

🏅 Ronda ColemanSpirit Award

🏅 University of Illinois at ChicagoVanguard Award (accepted by Dr. Aisha El-Amin & Maria Garcia)

🏅 Allan MuchinVisionary Award

We are deeply grateful to our board members, staff, business partners, and the extended Noble family who made this night so special — and to the Baker Jazz Band and DJ Jay iLLa for keeping the energy high all night long!

Most importantly, every dollar raised will go directly to supporting our graduates through the Last Dollar Scholarship Fund, helping close financial gaps so they can achieve their college dreams. 🎓 Here’s to 25 years of impact — and to the many more to come. 🚀 Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. We couldn’t do it without you!

CAMPUS HIGHLIGHT- BULLS COLLEGE PREP

Last week, musicians from the Bulls Symphony and Advanced Guitar Ensemble had the special opportunity to participate in a masterclass with renowned violinist Njioma Grievous. Following the session, the group attended her performance with the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra at the Driehaus Museum. 🎶

Njioma was generous, supportive, and kind to our young musicians — offering valuable career and musical advice, and even playing alongside the Symphony. For many of our Bulls Prep students, this was their first time hearing a professional orchestra perform, marking an inspiring milestone in their musical journey. 🌟

If you’d like to hear our students perform, we invite you to join us at these upcoming concerts at Bulls:

  • Spring Orchestra and Choir Concert: Tuesday, May 13 at 5:00 PM
  • Spring Guitar Concert: Wednesday, May 21 at 5:00 PM
We hope to see you there to celebrate and support our young artists! ❤️
