UIC College Prep

Justin Boyd is a highly esteemed music educator and performer. His passion for music began in his youth. During his formative years he performed regularly in various ensembles which led to him studying music in college. While studying in college, Mr. Boyd began working professionally and touring internationally with artist of different genres. He has performed on radio and television. He also leads his own ensemble.  In addition to performing, Mr. Boyd has provided performing arts services to schools in the Chicagoland area for over fifteen years. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago and DePaul University. After completing his master’s studies Mr. Boyd worked in an elementary school and that’s where music education became his primary focus. Mr. Boyd is currently the Fine Arts Department Facilitator at UIC College Prep where he teaches courses in Band and General Music.
