
Shamiea Green-Hassan

Shamiea Green-Hassan was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, but has been in Chicago since coming to attend University Illinois at Chicago for college. After receiving her M.Ed from UIC, Shamiea joined Muchin College Prep in 2013. Within her 9 year tenure at MCP, Shamiea has served in both culture and instructional roles, completed Noble’s Principal Fellowship, and served as a mentor in the Diverse Leaders Fellowship. Shamiea served as Assistant Principal of Scholar Experience before transitioning to her current role of Restorative Coach on NST’s Education Team. In all spaces, Shamiea has served by centering SEL and equity, creating community and accountability amongst all stakeholders – scholars, families and staff members.
Shamiea is also a lawyer as she graduated from UIC-John Marshall Law School in December of 2020. Shamiea’s passion is Education Law as she took a special interest in courses that were centered on the positive impacts of Restorative Practices in schools. She truly believes in zealously advocating for reform and redressability. She believes that we have a collective responsibility to do the work necessary to create safe spaces for restorative practices to thrive within Noble school communities!
