Tierionna Pinkston
Principal, The Noble Academy
Tierionna Pinkston is excited to serve the families and young people as the principal of The Noble Academy. Tierionna is a mother, wife, and long-time educator, originally from Louisville, Kentucky. She has spent more than a decade teaching, learning, & leading in order to deliver exceptional outcomes for students who are often pushed to the margins. She has served students and families in Austin, Gary, Indiana, West Town, Englewood, and North Lawndale. She is simply a Black girl who loves the Lord and is obsessed with the hood– Black womanhood and Black motherhood.
Tierionna earned her B.S. in Adolescent English Education from Miami University of Ohio and her MEd in Curriculum Studies from DePaul. Prior to becoming principal, she served as the Manager of Instructional Leadership for Noble Schools, where she coached and built strategy with instructional leaders and led professional development for teachers, schools, and teams. During the last 9 years, she’s been in Noble’s principal Fellowship, the Diverse Leaders Fellowship, and a member of the inaugural Equity Quotient cohort. She is a 2011 Chicago Corps member, a 2016 Stanford Hollyhock Fellow, and a proud 2022 Chicago Surge Fellow.
