Located in the West Town neighborhood since 2006, Rauner offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, a safe school environment, and a supportive small-school feel. Our mascot is the Wildcat and our school colors are navy blue, orange, and white.

No Word Goes Unspoken: A Zine about Education & Autism
In school, I struggled with speaking and making friends. I didn’t know when it was the right time to speak so I would stay quiet until I was called on. I stayed quiet during advisory, gym, English, and lunch. Even on the bus and train ride home, I stayed silent. The same applied to making friends - I gained friends only when other people spoke to me and I was interested in their conversation. For the longest time, I assumed I had intense social anxiety… until I learned that I had Autism.
Chipping Away at Walls: Showing Up for Our Students’ Mental Health
“Black people don’t go to therapy.” “You don’t need therapy, you need Jesus.” “Stop crying and suck it up.” “Therapy is for crazy people.” Throughout my life, these are phrases I’ve heard from my students and peers that sought to justify why people of color, and specifically Black people, should not seek out therapy or support. Nevertheless, support and therapy are exactly what is needed, arguably now more than ever.
Leaving No One Behind: Mansueto Family Leads Healthy Change in Their Community
Mansueto student Mia Corral and her parents have been running together since she was little. They've been taking that passion to their community to encourage others to run by leading the Midway Mile Chasers running club.
