Hi Noble,

You’ve likely seen the ongoing discussion and shifting guidance across Chicago Public Schools. Throughout this period, we have remained steady in our approach, and I want to state clearly that all Noble Schools will remain open on Friday, May 1.

What This Means for Our Community:

While we recognize that this day may hold personal meaning for members of our community, all campuses will operate on their regular schedules. Students should attend and participate in their classes as usual for a full day of learning, with trips, sporting events, senior events, and other scheduled activities continuing as planned.

This is a critical time in the school year. Across our campuses, students are preparing for AP exams and other important academic milestones. Every instructional minute matters, and every opportunity to support our students matters.

May 1 is also College Decision Day, one of the biggest milestones in many of our seniors’ lives.  It is a day to celebrate their next step and, for some, a final opportunity to make an important college choice before the commitment deadline at midnight. This moment reflects years of hard work and the collective support of families, educators, and school communities.

At Noble, we center our decisions on what best serves students, and college remains our North Star. Keeping schools open on May 1 ensures that all of our students receive the learning, support, and stability they need. It also allows our students to celebrate this exciting milestone with the staff who helped them get there.

I also want to recognize the extraordinary work of our teachers, counselors, advisors, and school teams. This daily commitment helps students reach moments like this and shapes students’ futures every day. This work is also a powerful form of civic engagement, investing in future generations through education and expanding what’s possible for our young people.

As a former Noble student, I know the power of being in a school community that believes in your future, and that belief continues to guide our work today.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we keep students at the center of everything we do.

Much Love,
Brenda

PAGE FOR A DAY WITH INCS

Last week, students Ariana Lazaro from Bulls College Prep; Jayden Valtierra and Jakyla Hudson from Muchin College Prep; and Sandra Beltran from ITW Speer Academy traveled to the state capital for a “Page for a Day” experience, where they explored the legislative process firsthand 🏛️

Throughout the day, they observed how bills move through the system, met with senators including Senator Preston and Senator Villanueva, and gained a deeper understanding of how decisions are made at the state level.

They also had the opportunity to write letters to their district representatives, deliver them to their offices, and connect with leaders in person ✍️

A big thank you to the Illinois Network of Charter Schools for making this opportunity possible for our scholars 💙

NOBLE SCHOOLS HELPS STUDENTS GET TO COLLEGE AND BEYOND

Getting to college is one step. Knowing how to navigate it, stay supported, and succeed once you’re there is everything.

At Noble, students don’t have to figure that out on their own. From college counseling to financial aid support and beyond, it’s about making sure students are prepared for what comes next.

BONJOUR! FROM BAKER COLLEGE PREP

Spring break is over but we are esstill metally there. LAst month six Baker students traveled to Italy for nine days, flying into Milan and making their way through Venice, Florence, and Rome 🇮🇹

Along the journey, they visited iconic landmarks like the Vatican and the Colosseum and experienced a gondola ride in Venice.

SALUKI NIGHT WITH NOBLE

SIUC partnered with Noble Schools to host our first Saluki Night, welcoming 35 students and many of their family members for an evening focused on the college experience 🎓

Throughout the night, students explored campus life, financial aid, student support services, next steps, and more, gaining a clearer understanding of what their future could look like.

The night was filled with energy and connection from start to finish, including a powerful panel of Chicago natives pursuing world-changing degrees.

Students walked away with a stronger sense of what’s ahead and how to take their next steps with confidence.

VISUAL ARTS FESTIVAL

Our annual Noble League Visual Arts Festival has done it again 🎨 This year brought a fresh look and even more opportunities for our student artists.

Hosted at Salvage One, the festival created space for students not only to showcase their work, but also to sell their art, with proceeds going directly back to them. Ticket sales from the event will also support a college scholarship awarded to the Best in Show winner.

We were excited to welcome back a panel of judges, including alumni Chelsea Billingsley (Bulls), Nikko Locander (Rauner), and Semaj Harris (Bulls alum and current sophomore at SAIC), along with digital designer Hector Padilla.
