Noble Community,

Happy Latinx Heritage Month!

We are nearly a month into the new school year, and as we step into the fall season, we also welcome a time of celebration, reflection, and unity. Latinx Heritage Month is a moment that resonates deeply with the core values that define us–an opportunity to celebrate the beauty and diversity within our Noble community. It is a chance to unite, inspire, and recognize the remarkable contributions of those who identify with Latin American heritage and whose stories are a part of the fabric of America. I encourage you to go back and read this piece written by Chief College Officer Dr. Aidé Acosta, explaining why we use the language Latinx Heritage Month.

Last year, we began featuring voices from our community in these celebratory notes. Our anti-racism commitment calls for us to center the voices and experiences of our students, families and communities. I’m thrilled to continue inviting more voices this year, and we begin with a piece written by Juan Pablo Esquivel, a learning specialist at Mansueto High School.

Please enjoy Juan’s thoughts below, and be on the lookout on social media as we continue to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month.

With gratitude,
Constance

“United in Progress: Celebrating Latinx Heritage and Diversity at Noble”

Unity:
At Noble, we stand united as one family, a diverse ensemble of individuals who collectively shape our destiny. Whether you are a staff member shaping the minds of tomorrow, a family guiding your children’s path, a student determined to reach new heights, an alumnus leaving your mark on the world, a donor fueling dreams, or a community partner strengthening bonds—we are in this journey together, united by purpose and passion.

Progress:
Latinx Heritage Month speaks to our shared commitment to progress, empowerment, and resilience. The Hispanic community’s contributions are invaluable, evident in our role as a driving force behind America’s economic prosperity. From economic growth to political representation, we are carving a path that inspires, uplifts and leaves an indelible mark on the nation.

Heart of Noble:
The heart of Noble beats with the rhythm of diversity. As we celebrate Latinx Heritage Month, we celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that infuse life into our classrooms, hallways, and beyond. This is a time to acknowledge the stories, sacrifices, and achievements that enrich our collective narrative, fostering an environment where every voice is heard, every heritage is celebrated, and every dream is nurtured.

As we embark on this meaningful journey, I encourage each of you to take a moment to reflect on the strides we have made and the path ahead. Let us honor the achievements of Hispanic pioneers, embrace the beauty of our diverse community, and acknowledge the challenges we face. Together, we have the power to drive progress and shape a brighter future for all. In the spirit of Latinx Heritage Month, let us come together to learn, to share, and to celebrate the values that bind us. Let us stand as a beacon of unity, resilience, and progress, echoing the sentiment that Hispanic progress is indeed American progress. Thank you for your unwavering dedication and the transformative impact you bring to our Noble family. Together, we continue to inspire, inform, acknowledge, celebrate, challenge, and educate—all in the pursuit of a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow.

Comunidad Noble:

Constance
