About – Arielle Nelson

Arielle Nelson, Dean of Instruction at Baker College Prep, received her B.A. in Political Science and African American Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her M.A. in Political and Justice Studies from Governors State University. As a first-generation college graduate, Arielle is a champion of equitable education and its power to transform lives.

Arielle began her teaching tenure with the Noble Network at Muchin College Prep as a Multicultural Literature teacher. With over a decade of teaching experience, she thrived in the classroom; being recognized consecutive years for classroom culture, being data-driven, and being a teacher leader. With the support of Noble’s leadership, Arielle also led a charge to rethink safety and security practices while at MCP.

Throughout her career, she has been a leader in supporting scholar experience, improving diversity, equity, and inclusion among staff and scholars, and enhancing rigorous academic expectations of Black and Brown scholars.

Currently, Arielle is finishing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at St. Francis University, serves in the Equity Quotient for Noble, and is a Noble Principal Fellow. Her greatest joy and priority are spending quality time with her husband and their four daughters.
