About – Azizat Lithgow
She is a Nigerian-American born and raised on the Northside of Chicago. She is married to her husband of 2 years, Tommy and we currently live in Bridgeport. She discovered her love for teaching a year ago while living and working in Urbana-Champaign. She is huge Bollywood film fan and have been for many years. Her favorite trip was to India for her close friend’s wedding, in which She got to see the Taj Mahal in Agra, the Golden Temple in Amritsar, and the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. For her high school was fun because of the friendships that She formed, which helped her to navigate s few strange years of life. She joins UICCP, specifically because of its commitment to students actualizing their dreams. She is super excited to start the school year and begin the great work that She is called to do, in partnering with the young people of this city to promote positive multigenerational change.
