About – Crystal McIntosh

Crystal McIntosh is an English teacher who deeply values relationship building and is motivated by community. She believes in practicing constant and vulnerable reflection to grow in her stance as an educator and as a person. Her reflections drive Crystal to seek new information, innovative ideas, development opportunities, and meaningful collaboration. Entering her 5th year of teaching English, Crystal is eager to lead her fellow English teachers. She is excited to share her student-centered approach to teaching that resulted in being awarded the student-elected, 2020 Teacher of the Year at Muchin College Prep. In addition to teaching English, she will serve as English Department Chair for SY 2021-2022. She hopes to learn from and with her colleagues to better serve the scholars of Muchin College Prep. Crystal feels honored to embark on her journey with the Diverse Leaders Fellowship. She desires to develop as a leader and to authentically contribute to the fellowship experience.
