Gary Comer College Prep

Erica was born and raised on Chicago’s West Side in the North Lawndale neighborhood. She is an alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, where she graduated Magna Cumme Laude with a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Health Administration and Pre-Medicine. Prior to her transition to education, Erica maintained a professional career in health administration and leadership that encompassed both medicine and dentistry.   Erica joined Noble in 2018 as a 9th grade Biology teacher at DRW College Prep, where she also led the science content team, coached varsity girls volleyball, and inaugurated STEM Day. In her fourth year at Noble, Erica attained a Master’s of Education in Educational Research when she joined her DRW advisees as a graduate of the Class of 2022.   In 2023, Erica transitioned to Gary Comer College Prep to serve as a Dean of Instruction for Sciences and Social Science where she plans to continue to grow her leadership and development as a member of the #OneComer community.  Erica enjoys fellowship, shopping, and creating new dining experiences. She spends her free time with her friends, family, and serving the city of Chicago alongside her sisters of the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs, Inc.
