About – Evan Lloyd
He was born near Oxford, England. After traveling the world at age twenty-five, he settled in DC where He met his husband, Josh. He's worked as a teacher in the U.S and the U.K for nineteen years and currently teach Seniors AP Literature and Contemporary Literature and Culture. He still love being in the classroom because of the students, building relationships, seeing students' understanding of literature and writing develop. He has three degrees from Lancaster University, Warwick University and a Master of Writing from Johns Hopkins. He’s a writer and have been published in Blue Mesa Review, Glimmer Train, New Millennium and Penn Hopkins, this really informs his Teaching. He loves narrative and seeing how stories are told and unfold. He’s super excited for the texts the seniors are slated to read this year. He has a dog named Jasper, he's 11 and a beagle lab mix and we just bought a house with a garden, so He's been spending a ton of time out there with him just soaking in those rays. He loves biking, swimming and coffee. Trying different restaurants and traveling all of the world. He have two places He love to be-Greece and Tulum, Mexico, there's something magical about the water there.
