About – Jarrell Turner

Jarrell Turner is a lifelong Chicago resident called into the realm of education. He is a first generation high school graduate of Chicago public school George Henry Corliss. He is a first generation college graduate from Governor State University with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies and a focus in sociology and community development. Currently, he’s in pursuit of a masters in special education as a member of TFA (Teach for America) where he is a constant advocate for equity, justice, and diversity. Jarrell currently works as a learning specialist at Butler College Prep in the same Roseland community that poured into him.
