About – Lisette Hernandez
Lisette Hernandez has been in education and with Noble for eight years. She served as an English teacher at ITW David Speer Academy for five years before transitioning into administration. Within the Noble Network, Lisette has been a part of the Diverse Leaders Fellowship, DEI Steering Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Noble Alumni Association (as founding member and president), and Noble Board of Directors (as first alumni representative).
Lisette received her Bachelor of English and Secondary Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Master of Education in Curriculum Studies, with an endorsement in Teacher Leadership, at DePaul University. Lisette is a Chicago native, a Golden Apple scholar, a mother, sister, wife, and a proud bilingual Puerto Rican woman. She is a fierce advocate for equity, access, and women’s rights.
