About – Marely Soto
Her dream has always been to travel the world and learn about all the different cultures. Two years ago, she traveled to New York City. She never understands the "city that does not sleep" saying until She visited New York City for the first time. Due to its diversity and liveliness at every corner, it by far has been one of her favorite trips. She is sure that will change once She travel more. In high school, she remembers walking into her Spanish class, senior year, and meeting the person who would challenge, encouraged, and believe in her. Her best memory in high school was meeting Carlos Rivas. Thanks to him, she received the support She needed to graduate college and excel in her career at Noble. Because of the staff members at UICCP, she is where She is today working alongside her teachers from high school. She wishes to continue that trend and guide students to reach their potential the way her teachers did in high school. Being an UICCP alum has open so many doors for her in her career. From being a student to guiding current high school students to be the best version of themselves, she has taken every opportunity to make a difference in our Firecats and families. This year, she is excited to build more relationships with our staff, students, families, and most importantly resources that She can share with our students who experience hardship every day! Her goal is for our Firecats to know that they can count on her to help them grow and be better people.
