About – Nikki Desgrosellier
Nikki Desgrosellier is excited to return to UICCP as the new Dean of College & Career Counseling. She is going into her 9th year as a college counselor and 13th year as an educator in Chicago. She is originally from Washington state where she attended Western Washington University and received her bachelor's degree in psychology and Spanish language & literature. She moved to Chicago through the Teach For America program in 2009. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, playing volleyball, and reading. She spent the last year living in South Korea (she is a Korean adoptee) teaching English, exploring the country, and learning more about her culture. She is excited to work with all Firecats and their families and caregivers to ensure they have a post-secondary plan and affordable, best fit college options.
