About – Nishi Shah
Nishi is currently based in the Chicagoland area. She graduated from National Louis University with Educational Specialist Degree in Administration & Supervision, University of Illinois at Chicago with a Masters of Education in Instructional Leadership & Educational Policy Studies and DePaul University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Education with a concentration in Science. She is a lifelong learner, educator, mother, sister, wife, and friend. Nishi takes pride in diverse backgrounds, races, genders, and religions. She believes in honoring the skin we are in, and all multicultural experiences and believe in the inclusivity of all cultures. The system has been designed to reproduce individuals to the class they were born into, she believes in redesigning this system into one that will uplift everyone’s cultural strength. To do this, Nishi is committed to reflecting, learning, listening, examining history, challenging assumptions, being curious, and exploring bold ideas to address racism and inequality at UICCP. Nishi is looking forward to empowering and uplifting staff, young people, and community for the SY22-23!
