About – Terrence Davis
Terrence is a proud graduate of Morehouse College, a Historically Black College in Atlanta, Georgia. From there, he attended Chapman University where he earned his Master’s degree in Special Education.
He started his career in education as a Special Education and Humanities teacher at High Tech High in San Diego, California. In 2012, he moved to Chicago with his wife Cassandra to begin working at the Noble Network. There he worked as a Learning Specialist at Chicago Bulls College Prep and a Case manager for Butler College Prep. In both of these roles Terrence supported students with diverse learning needs in their journey to college.
After his time at the Noble Network, Terrence moved to San Francisco, California to launch a new charter school, Mary L. Booker Leadership Academy. Terrence worked as the Head of Schools and CEO during the two start-up years and the founding school year in 2019. In this role, Terrence worked with some of the best schools in the country around school design, and worked with politicians and non-profit organizations to launch Booker Academy.
After his time at Booker Academy, Terrence relocated back to Chicago, Illinois. First working at Burke Elementary as a Learning Specialist and then moving to his current role, Assistant Principal of Academics.
Terrence believes that an excellent education provides opportunities for all students. He is excited to be a part of the principal fellowship to continue supporting all students.
