Noble Street 2018Zet was hardworking and kind. He was a PAS scholar who graduated from Albion College. He was the type of person who got along with everyone.

UIC 2022We remember Taniya Smith, a cherished member of Firecat Nation and the Class of 2022. She was a beloved student at UICCP and built strong relationships with students and staff. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones.

Noble Street 2017Jireh was kind to everyone and always looked for ways to be a light to others. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in psychology and began working children with autism. She saw the need for them to have a speech pathologist and decided to pursue that career so that she could support them.

Noble Street 2017Ryan was very supportive of his friends and treated them like family. Many of his classmates remember him as being funny and good-hearted.

Noble Street 2015Known as “Sway” by many of his friends, Josue was someone who was friends with everyone. He played football during his time at Noble and was also involved with dance on campus.

Noble Street 2004Adrian was among the best students in his class academically, and he loved learning. His amazing experience at the University of Arizona for Summer of a Lifetime was the main reason he decided to earn his master’s there after graduating from Wabash with his undergraduate degree. He was the favorite Tio in his family; his close friends and advisory brothers were by his side when he became ill and at his wake.

Johnson 2019Dakia was a laid-back, creative student with a warm smile. Her creativity extended after high school; when she started a Photography business that immediately flourished.

The Noble Academy 2021Yamiris was appreciated by many teachers and students. Her community misses her laughter and smile.

ITW Speer 2018Gubet was a 3-Sport athlete and a part of the founding class at Speer. His quiet demeanor and hard work left a legacy amongst his peers and community.

Bulls 2020Marcos was known at Bulls Prep for being a thoughtful and kind student that always tried to brighten people’s days. He won you over instantly with his smile, and his unassuming and gentle demeanor made his teachers, friends, and classmates cheer him on. Johnson 2024Jeramiah was an honor roll student his entire educational journey. He was charming and funny; yet “lowkey”. The scholar enjoyed Urban Alliance, hanging with friends and his favorite person was his Grandmother (who he loved unconditionally).

Golder 2022It is with a heavy heart and regret that we share one of our alum, Exavier Zurita, class of 2022, passed away. Exavier was loved by his family and friends. He was kind, loving and outgoing. He built strong relationships with students and staff while at Golder. In 2022, his senior year, he was voted Golder’s prom king. Exavier was a beloved member of our Panther community and will truly be missed.

Hansberry 2025De’Angelo was an active student athlete. He played football and helped manage the boys’ varsity basketball team. There are no words that can make sense of this loss. He was deeply loved, and his absence will be felt across our entire Hansberry community.

UIC 2024Noah had a gift that touched everyone he met—he greeted the world with a big smile and an even bigger hug. His presence was magnetic; he had the remarkable ability to light up every room he entered, making strangers feel like old friends and turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. His warmth was genuine, his spirit infectious, and his heart enormous.
