Hi Noble,
Last weekend, I had the privilege of watching some truly remarkable Noble athletics. Our JV volleyball teams from Mansueto and Speer, and our varsity teams from Noble Street and Muchin, showed great skill and teamwork, making each match a joy to watch. On Wednesday, I caught the Noble Girls Rugby Championship between Pritzker and Speer. Both teams played with such heart and intensity that the game went into overtime, then kicks, and ultimately sudden death — the first time in Noble history.
What stuck with me most was how, at the end, every athlete cheered for one another. That moment of unity and respect is what Noble is all about — showing up for each other, lifting one another up, and celebrating together, no matter the outcome.
Watching our scholar-athletes reminds me why our work matters so much. Their determination, collaboration, and care reflect the same values we strive to build in our classrooms and across all 17 schools. Those same qualities — supporting one another and standing together — are what carry us through the tough moments, too.
Congratulations to our Noble League Champions: Mansueto’s JV volleyball team, Noble Street’s varsity volleyball team, and Speer’s rugby team. And thank you to every athlete who played with heart and represented the Noble spirit so well.
That spirit of unity matters now more than ever as some families in our community face uncertainty with the potential loss of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits on Saturday. Please know this: you are not alone. We will continue to share information and connect families to resources and support. Noble will always stand with our students and families, especially in hard times.
Let’s keep celebrating our scholar-athletes and the strength of our community in everything we do. The same care and commitment we see on the field and in our classrooms will carry us forward, together.

14TH ANNUAL FALL DINNER FOR SUMMER OF A LIFETIME (SOL)
Last Wednesday, over 250 guests came together at the University Club of Chicago to support Summer of a Lifetime. Thanks to our incredible community, we raised over $400,000! This was our most successful event so far!
Program participants Brenda Cora (CEO), Sean Lawson (Baker College Prep student), and Janise Williams (Butler College Prep parent) shared how Summer of a Lifetime has made a meaningful impact on their lives and other families.
Janise Williams said it best: “Summer of a Lifetime gave my daughters a chance to see their dreams, not as a faraway idea, but as something real, something they could touch, feel, and live.”

TRUNK OR TREAT AT RCMSA
Yesterday, Rowe-Clark Math & Science Academy (RCMSA) hosted its very first Trunk or Treat! 🎃 Each advisory was tasked with decorating their trunks and bringing treats to share, turning the school’s parking lot into a festive Halloween celebration.
Students and families had the chance to “trunk or treat,” visiting each car for candy and fun surprises. The event was filled with music, plenty of snacks, creative costumes, and even a crew of mad scientists 👩🔬!
Shout out to the staff at Rowe-Clark for curating an amazing experience for students, families, and community members to enjoy!

NOBLE'S POLICY CORNER
The government shutdown continues. Should the shutdown extend to November 1st, programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Head Start could see severe impacts.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that it does not have sufficient funding to issue full November SNAP benefits if the federal government shutdown continues. The Trump Administration is refusing to use contingency funds to support SNAP for 42 million Americans during the federal government shutdown.
This means that beginning at midnight on Saturday, November 1, November SNAP benefits will not be available to 1.9 million Illinoisans who rely on this funding to buy groceries. 45% of SNAP households have children, 44% have a person with a disability, and 37% include older adults living in the home.
A halt or disruption in SNAP payments will directly affect our students’ food security, concentration, attendance, and overall well-being of our students and families. This could greatly increase food insecurity for families and children in Illinois and across the country.
You can also advocate for federal funding. Contact the White House to request the Trump Administration fund November SNAP benefits & work with Congress to permanently reopen the government. One option is mailing letters to:
