2025 Spring Micro-Internship Program Highlight

The MIP connected students with 11 employer partners (Medline, Teledoc Health, Charter School Growth Fund, COOP Careers, Lurie’s Children Hospital, and more!) across Chicago and beyond to participate in week-long internship experiences during their spring break. These experiences were offered in virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats, allowing for flexibility and broad engagement. The program was designed to offer immersive, real-world exposure across a range of industries including education, health services, nonprofit management, and more, while equipping participants with practical skills and deeper career awareness.

A total of 39 students completed the program, participating in hands-on projects, site visits, and networking opportunities aimed at fostering professional growth and exploration.

“I enjoyed having multiple networking meetings, and they helped me understand the various roles in business within a healthcare company and how they collaborate to provide accessible healthcare.”
