Hi Noble,
Last week, our Butler Lady Lynx made history as the first Noble girls' basketball team to reach the CPS Final Four. In their first season competing in the Chicago Public League top division, the Lady Lynx advanced all the way to the championship game. While they ultimately fell to Kenwood in the final, we are incredibly proud of the excellence, determination, and teamwork they displayed throughout the season. We look forward to continuing to cheer them on as they compete for the 3A State title in the IHSA Tournament in the coming days and weeks. Be sure to follow Noble’s social media channels for updates on their schedule and ticket information if you’d like to support the Lady Lynx in person.
As we look ahead to the first week of March, we are excited to celebrate School Social Work Week across our campuses. At Noble, social workers play an essential role in helping our students grow not only academically, but also develop into confident, compassionate, and resilient young people. Every day, they partner with students and families to build self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and provide the emotional tools that support success in the classroom and beyond. This work is deeply aligned with our commitment to creating learning environments where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and valued.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our students and schools.
Much Love,
Brenda

TNA GOLDEN TICKET COLLEGE EVENT
Earlier this month, The Noble Academy hosted its Senior Golden Ticket Celebration, inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where each “golden ticket” symbolized a college acceptance.
During the event, Principal Pinkston spoke about college access as an act of justice, a powerful reminder that our students’ acceptances are not just personal milestones, but proof of opportunity earned through hard work and community support. 🎟️🎓
Every senior who received a college acceptance was proudly celebrated, honoring not only their achievement, but the doors they are opening for themselves and for those who will follow.
A huge shoutout to TNA and their college team for curating such a meaningful experience for our students. 💛

NOBLE'S POLICY CORNER
This week, Governor J.B. Pritzker delivered his annual State of the State address and unveiled his proposed FY27 budget. Amid state revenue constraints, the budget proposes an additional $305 million investment in the Evidence-Based Funding (EBF) Formula, continuing progress toward full funding. Despite notable progress, three out of four Illinois students still attend districts that remain underfunded.
These investments are critical for our school community. Increased Evidence-Based Funding helps ensure we can sustain high-quality instruction, student supports, and enrichment opportunities that prepare our students for success in college, career, and beyond.
Our Noble Public Affairs team, in partnership with the Funding Illinois Future coalition, will continue advocating with state lawmakers and alongside our families for an investment of at least $550 million for schools. This type of funding would move Illinois closer to a system where every student, regardless of zip code, has access to a high-quality, well-resourced public education.
Here is an overview that breaks down the proposed K-12 education budget:
-
K-12 Education Funding
-
A $305 million increase for Evidence-Based Funding (EBF)
-
$51 million increase in grants for school categorical grants
-
Maintains funding for career and technical education programs
-
$1.5 million for implementation of the Illinois Comprehensive Literacy and Numeracy plans
-
$15 million for the Teacher Vacancy Grant Pilot Program
-
Higher Education Funding
-
$721.6 million to maintain the Monetary Award Program (MAP)
-
A $16 million increase in operating funds for public universities and community colleges
-
$2 million to continue funding the Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois (DFI) program, formerly known as the Minority Teacher Scholarship program
You can read the coalition’s response to Governor Pritzker's FY27 budget address here.
