Introducing This Quarter's Athletes of the Week

On top of the brightest, Noble has some of the most talented student-athletes in Chicago. Currently, the Noble League is home to 26 varsity sports and competition-based activities with opportunities for student-athletes to participate in IHSA, CPL, and Noble League Championships.

We like to show some love and acknowledge our amazing student-athletes every year by selecting “Noble’s Athlete of the Week” across campuses and sports. Here are this school year’s August-October Athletes of the Week:

Athlete of the Week- Jeremiah Boyd

JEREMIAH BOYD – ITW DAVID SPEER ACADEMY FOOTBALL

In a recent game, Boyd had a strong showing, scoring 3 touchdowns (1 rushing, 1 receiving, 1 KR).

Athlete of the Week- Ariel Alvarado

ARIEL ALVARADO – UIC COLLEGE PREP VOLLEYBALL

Alvarado played 2 full games as a setter/outside hitter with 5 successful digs, 3 kills, 9 consecutive serves, and over 10 kill assists.

Athlete of the Week- Miyay Jordan

MIYAY JORDAN – HANSBERRY COLLEGE PREP VOLLEYBALL

Jordan scored a total of 14 points in set 1 and overall played really well with her teammates.

Athlete of the Week- Aaron Ortiz

AARON ORTIZ – RAUNER COLLEGE PREP SOCCER

Ortiz scored 2 goals to tie the game with UIC College Prep. He also scored the only 2 goals in the Wildcats’ defeat by Speer.

Athlete of the Week- Diana Silvestre

DIANA SILVESTRE – CHICAGO BULLS COLLEGE PREP FLAG FOOTBALL

Silvestre had two interceptions against Julia High School and scored two touchdowns. She also had three touchdowns and four interceptions against Sullivan High School.

Athlete of the Week- Yahir Castrejon

YAHIR CASTREJON – PRITZKER COLLEGE PREP SOCCER

Castrejon scored 2 goals and provided an assist while being nearly impossible to dispossess in the middle of the field. He showed leadership and tenacity.

Athlete of the Week- Samantha Galvan

SAMANTHA GALVAN – GOLDER COLLEGE PREP VOLLEYBALL

Galvan displayed amazing athleticism and support for her other teammates, both on and off the court.

Athlete of the Week- Axel Munoz

ALEX MUNOZ- NOBLE STREET COLLEGE PREP SOCCER

Munoz stepped up and had a huge impact on the game after Noble Street’s starting center-back was unable to play due to injury. He made major stops to reduce the amount of shots on goal.

Athlete of the Week- Gabriela Silvas

GABRIELA SILVAS- PRITZKER COLLEGE PREP RUGBY

Silvas scored 1 try and was everywhere on the field. She had many amazing runs and was a defensive stopper as she led the team in tackles.

Athlete of the Week- Isaac Delgado

ISAAC DELGADO – MUCHIN COLLEGE PREP SOCCER

Delgado had many crucial tackles against Bulls Prep. He scored the decisive goal against Bulls and was always a leader on and off the field.

Athlete of the Week- Rhianna Berrios

RHIANNA BERRIOS – THE NOBLE ACADEMY VOLLEYBALL

Berrios showed her leadership and skill on the court!

Athlete of the Week- David Chagoya

DAVID CHAGOYA – UIC COLLEGE PREP SOCCER

Chagoya’s highlights for the season include scoring his first goal olimpico during a corner kick against Bulls Prep.

Athlete of the Week- Jayla Jefferies

JAYLA JEFFRIES- GARY COMER COLLEGE PREP VOLLEYBALL

Jeffries shows great leadership and teamwork on the court!

Athlete of the Week- Juan Herrera

JUAN HERRERA – CHICAGO BULLS COLLEGE PREP SOCCER

Herrera had a great shutout in the first half of Bulls’ game against The Noble Academy, with a few huge saves!
