About – JY Sun

JY Sun is the Manager of College Analytics & Insights at Noble Schools. In this role, JY works closely with both the College and Data & Innovation Teams in building analytic systems around Noble’s college data to achieve Noble’s vision of 75% college completion. Prior to joining Noble, JY was a Data Scientist at the Chicago-based personalized learning start-up, LEAP Innovations. They began their career in education as a high school teacher on the Big Island in Hawai’i where they were a national finalist for the 2016 Sue Lehmann Teaching and Learning Fellowship. JY has a B.S. in Economics and B.A. in International Relations from the University of Delaware. Most recently, they earned a masters in Computational Social Science from the University of Chicago.
