SCHOOL HISTORY
Muchin College Prep was founded in 2009 in the heart of the Chicago Loop. Muchin College Prep was made possible by the vision and generosity of our naming donors, Allan and Elaine Muchin. Mr. Muchin is Chairman Emeritus of Katten Muchin and Rosenman LLP and is a former Chairman of the Noble Board of Directors. Mr. Muchin’s daughter, Karen Muchin, currently sits on the Noble Board communicating the Muchin family’s ongoing commitment to strong education options for Chicago youth.
Muchin College Prep provides a transformative and equitable education that honors scholars’ brilliance, affirms their unique identities, and equips them to complete college and lead choice-filled lives. Since its founding, Muchin has welcomed scholars from 50+ different zip codes across the city of Chicago to engage in rigorous curriculum that prepares them for success in college and beyond. Proudly, 100% of our graduates have been accepted to college. In Muchin’s two most recent graduating classes, nearly half of all graduates earned full ride or full tuition scholarships to college. Muchin College Prep boasts an attendance rate of 91%, an average GPA of a 3.0, 50% of its sophomores participating in summer collegiate programming, and an average of 35% of its graduates earning college credit prior to graduation.
We are proud Mountain Lions and we take advantage of every opportunity that comes our way because we continuously want to be and do better to continuously improve our future opportunities.

MISSION
The Muchin scholar will be an intrinsically motivated, socially responsible, and well-rounded college graduate.
