About Kashawndra Wilson
A native of Chicago’s Westside, Kashawndra Wilson is excited to join the Bengal family. Kashawndra has been a science educator for 10 years working at St. Gregory the Great High School, a parochial school on the northeast side of Chicago, and Chicago Bulls College Prep, a charter high school part of the Noble Network.
At Chicago Bulls Ms. Wilson was the 9th Dean of Instruction where she was responsible for the overall culture and results of the 9th grade level and educators. She started, however, as a Founding 10th grade Science teacher where she created and implemented curriculum resulting in science growth outperforming majority of the Noble Network for 10th and 11th grade students.
During her tenure in the classroom Ms. Wilson gained fluency with college and career readiness. This fluency has afforded her the opportunity to consult for KIPP Network of Schools as well as be a part of a Noble assessment creation team. Both opportunities allowed Ms. Wilson to help instruct both educators and leaders on curricular design and assessment creation.
Ms. Wilson obtained her Masters in Secondary Education from Northwestern University after graduating from the prestigious historically black college Spelman, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology.
